Parker Posey Indie Queen

Parker Christian Posey (born November 8, 1968) is an American actress and musician. She became known during the 1990s after a series of roles in 32 independent films that gained her the nickname "Queen of the Indies". Posey has also co-starred in several big budget studio films, including You've Got Mail (1998), Scream 3 (2000), Josie and the Pussycats (2001), Laws of Attraction (2004), Blade: Trinity (2004) and Superman Returns as Kitty Kowalski (2006). She continues a career in television, which started in 1991 on As the World Turns, guest starring in episodes on many popular shows. In 2012, Posey was honored with the Excellence in Acting Award at the Provincetown International Film Festival.
